Exploring The Business Case For Improving The Quality Of Health Care For Children
The Child Health Business Case Working Group
A recent examination of the business case for improving quality in health care found few financial incentives (and sizable barriers) for health care organizations interested in investing in quality improvement. That analysis did not consider the special case of childrens health care. To address this gap, an expert panel delineated aspects of childrens health caresuch as the need for care, patterns of use, and how care is organized and financedthat differ from adult care. It then identified barriers and solutions specific to childrens health care, to ensure that childrens unique needs are not lost in the debate.
