In "Health Spending Growth Up in 1999; Faster Growth Expected in the Future," by Stephen Heffler and colleagues (Mar/Apr 01), the estimate of projected health care spending under SCHIP was too high. The statement on page 196 should read, "By 2010 total expenditures for SCHIP are expected to be $8.0 billion," rather than $14.7 billion as stated.

In "Trends in Out-of-Pocket Spending by Insured American Workers, 1990–1997," by Jon Gabel and colleagues (Mar/Apr 01), there is an error in Exhibit 3, page 52. Under 1990, the figure for indemnity/PPO coverage should be 576, not 76. We regret any confusion resulting from these errors.
