This briefing, co-sponsored by Health Affairs and the Center for Global Development, launches the journal's Global Health Initiative with an interactive panel discussion on how best to combat the surge in multi-drug resistant malaria. Panelists also debate the impact of a proposed pharmaceutical voucher system to support R&D of drugs to fight neglected and deadly diseases as well as the benefits of introducing private health insurance in poor countries.
