I have read the series of articles on the specialty hospitals. Many of the issues which have been on the table for several years were discussed, but in the spirit of fair journalism, why did you not include an article from ASHA or from any of the physician-owned facilities? I am Medical Director and Vice-President for Medical Affairs at Baylor Medical Center of Frisco (situated in North Dallas), a multispecialty surgical hospital, with 242 physicians on staff, doing over 8,500 procedures a year. I would love to submit an article extolling the virtues of physician-ownership, including patient and nursing staff perspectives. In addition, I wholeheartedly invite any interested parties to come see first-hand what we do here.
