If only my best friend had health care. My friend was a hard-working guy of 58. He was always there when someone was in need. Now he is gone, leaving a wife, daughter, and granddaughter who idolized him. Bru started having headaches and figured he was maybe coming down with the flu. On day two, in excruciating pain, he thought about going to the doctor but was hoping that he could manage the pain and on to improvement. On day three he continued to tough it out, resisted going to the doctor because he knew it would be a hardship on the family budget and went to bed early; he slept in another room in case he had the flu. In the morning when he wasn't first up and responding to the dog's whining, his wife found him dead (from a brain aneurysm as it turned out). If he had been able to afford a visit to the doctor early, there is a high chance that a stent would have saved his life. |
